Is there anything more relaxing than the sound of waves coming to shore? It’s peaceful. It’s soul filling. It’s rejuvenating.

I wish I could have both my mountains and the ocean. I think that’s why I’m such a fan of the Pacific Northwest…not only is it where I started my life, but it’s rugged coastline brings a bit of both ‘mountains’ and ocean.

But that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy me some rolling waves in other parts of the country too. :)

And today, we get to see Melissa use the Florida stamps for a beautiful page of the Pacific Ocean.

Here’s Melissa to tell us about it all.

I just love a good stamp that can be used for something other than its intended purpose. I was so thrilled at how well Kerri’s new Florida stamp set worked to help me document a summer trip to the beach here in my home state of California. 

For this project, I stitched a grid onto my paper with my sewing machine, added a few small square photos and created a few embellishments with the stamp set and some patterned paper. I did a bit more stamping at the bottom just above my journaling. I also created a tag insert using a couple of the food sentiments, also from the Florida stamp set.  This Florida stamp really went a long way on this layout.  Now that’s what you call a good stamp.
