We recently had some water damage that came from the outdoor faucet into the closet in our family room on the third floor of a four-level split-level house and then down to the closet in the bedroom on the fourth floor. With the way the closet was constructed, we had to remove all the shelves–and the stuff in it–to get to the carpet under the bottom shelf. At that point, we decided to reconstruct the closet into something more useful–making a DVD tower, some shallow shelves and some deep shelves while leaving a space for the vacuum cleaner. This is the only closet outside of bed and bath that we have. We don’t even have a coat closet.

Needless to say, I’m excited to have it all organized…and to have a place for my vacuum cleaner!

But with part of this closet expulsion, there were many scrapbook pages on the top shelf–no water damage to them as I made sure they were above the faucet. But it had got me thinking about how much space all these pages take up as opposed to how much space a travelers notebook takes.

I did the majority of those pages for work, either for Creating Keepsakes or for QVC. Two decades worth of pages between there and another storage space. Of course, over the years I went from 12×12 to letter size and now to TN. I can’t tell you just how much I love that TN size! I can’t put all the photos in that I’d like, but I treat it more of a journal with a spread for a week.

It works for me. There’s comfort in that for me. I love it. I think I would also love doing digital books if I cold ever get my butt in gear to do one. ;) I feel like digitally created, printed books will be lovely for me.

And now, I’ve been having a lot of fun seeing Laura delve into this wonderful world of TNs. I mean, she already makes awesome pages and pocket pages…and now she’s making some TNs doing some fantastic things!

Okay, my favorite part are those little clusters of Inked stamps with the stars! Ack! And all the other little elements just make both pages just lovely!

Here’s Laura to tell us about it.

It’s been a while since I’ve created any little travelers notebook sized layouts to add to my album. I’m still new to creating these smaller sized spreads, but I really do love how easy they work for documenting little stories in a quick and easy way. 

With two of Kerri’s newest stamp sets in mind – Blocks of Headlines and Iconic – I printed out two different photos that caught my eye, knowing I had a story to tell for each. After printing my journaling out for each spread, as well as pairing up my photos with a few fun patterned papers, I started adding my stamping to each spread. 

I pulled in a few other stamp sets – Inked, Borderlines, and All The Time – to compliment the new stamps and add extra little touches to each spread.
