Seems like only yesterday when I was teaching my kids how to drive. But it’s been about ten years now. Say what?

I’m curious, who was the better parent for teaching your kids? You know, the more patient, less freak-out parent? That would have been me. haha I did most of the driving hours with my kids.

Good times. Good times.
(There may be a little sarcasm there.)

What a darling tag! I love everything about this page. Just sweet, simple, clean. Eyes on the photos like eyes on the road. ;)

FYI, because I know I’ll get asked, I do have these new stamps on reorder (among others), but my stamp guy can’t get product for making stamps from California right now. Hoping that will change soon. :)

When I saw the cute car in the awesome new Iconic Stamp Set I knew exactly which photos I needed to scrap!  For this traveler’s notebook spread I’ve also used the new Eat and Block of Headlines stamps sets along with a phrase from the Utah’s Mighty 5 stamp set too.

For the full-sized photo page, I printed out my journaling making sure I left a space to fit the arrow stamp from the Iconic stamp set.  I added stitching to the journaling and added the arrow with a foam dot for dimension. 

For the second page I chose a patterned paper for the background, then made my own tag, stitched around the edge and added some twine.  Then I picked out a variety of stamps to add to the tag, starting with the little car stamp at the top.  The car was attached with a foam dot but the rest of the words and phrases were adhered directly to the tag, then stitching added across each stamped piece.

I had another small photo that I wanted to add to the spread so I punched holes in the top and bottom then threaded it onto the twine which ran to the bottom of the page.  Foam adhesive was added behind the photo and I finished off my securing the twine with two staples.
