Before we get into today’s fun, I wanted to share a stamp update. First off, Nature Lover sold out in three hours and Denali wasn’t far behind. Wow! The remaining stamps are also going quickly. Thank you so much for all your love!

I wish I could go to a Preorder like I normally do, but with an uncertain production time, it’s just not the right thing to do. I’m hoping my stamp man will be able to get going again soon. Fingers crossed there.

Okay, so a few months back I was contemplating what I might like to do for this week. There’s always a myriad of ideas, but something in the ‘sketch’ realm came to mind. I had just released the Lay It All Out: Travelers Notebook templates and thought, ‘Hmm. That might make a fun little twist for something in that sketch realm.’

So I initiated the challenge to the marvelous KBS Creative Team and they did not disappoint! (Like that’s even a possibility, I mean, c’mon….reeeaaally.) Each gal has done something unique and clever and taken the templates beyond just the ordinary. They are pretty awesome like that. :)

Today we have Miss Sheree showing her rendition of Template C.

 

 

 

Oh my freakin’ heck. I absolutely looooove the big title and big numbers using the brand new Denali XL and Denali Etc XL stamps! And then that touch of fussy-cut Nature Lover? I swoon.

Here’s Sheree to tell us all about it.

To start off this traveler’s notebook spread I printed my journaling onto white cardstock and cut my pages to size.  I then used Lay It All Out (Template C), which I had cut out with white cardstock using my Silhouette, to draw the lines on my pages with a black pen.  

I used the awesome new Denali XL and Denali Etc XL stamp sets to stamp my title and the numbers onto white cardstock.  I cut them out and adhered then into place on my pages before adding some stitching.  I then stamped some of the leaves from the new Nature Lover stamp set with green ink, cut them out and arranged them with the numbers and the ‘g’ in the title.  Foam dots were added in behind them for a little dimension.

To finish it off I stamped a label from the Label Maker stamp set, added a stamped phrase from the Nature Lover stamp set.  This was positioned above the journaling and I stitched across it with my sewing machine.  The date was also added to the bottom of the page.

The Lay It All Out template made it so quick and easy to organize and add the other elements onto the spread…such a great time saver!
