Joy can look like so many different things to so many different people. But ya gotta admit, seeing the littles with the people you love is definitely a joy.

And you know what is a joy for me? Having people like Miss Tazhi Gordon grace us with her magnificent presence here. This girl. I tell you what. I’ve gotten to know here more and more over the past few months and she truly has an amazing soul.

Those pictures…and those dimples! He is just the cutest. And this page is fantastic! So digging that big, bold multi-color title using Newport XL (a fave of mine). And the number stamps over the journaling tag? Ohhh yeah.

Here’s Tazhi to tell us more:

Hello friends! My name is Tazhiana and I am pleased as punch to document a celebration of my own for KBS’ celebration month – my nephew’s first birthday. 

For this 9×12 scrapbook layout, I started with an 8×6 photo, as well as 2 3×4 photos and a 3×4 tag that I added some journaling on. I stamped a large title directly on my cardstock using the Newport XL alphabet stamp in navy blue and red inks. I chose to stamp the word “joy” in the red ink for pop and contrast and I love how it came out, so that’s a tip for your next stamping project! 

I also stamped Noah’s birthdate on a scrap of vellum using black archival ink and the Thick Outline Etc XL stamp set – I’m just a sucker for a large number stamp – and adhered it to my journaling tag. That transparent element is so much fun and I love the texture of stamped vellum on my pages. 

To finish the layout, I added some embellishments that matched my ink colors and some ribbon for my tags, tucked them into my large photo pocket and added some puffy hearts scattered across the page. 

I love how a large stamped title coupled with a large photo makes a high impact layout that’s quick and easy to recreate Hope you give this one a try and happy birthday again to Kerri Bradford Studio!
