My girls and I decided to do our part to help the USPS yesterday and we bought some cool stamps online. Now, mind you, I do my part in a major way already with shipping KBS stamps. ;) In fact, my mailman said the other day as he picked up the umpteenth bin of stamps over several days, ‘You’re putting my kids through college.’ They are 2 and 4, at present. haha
But these current events got my girls talking about sending some actual mail to people. It’s not something we really do much anymore. In fact, I hardly ever send mail except at Christmas. Bills are paid online or we use Venmo. We text. We FaceTime. But how lovely is it to get an actual piece of written mail from someone dear to you?
Even more so, how lovely is it to get something handmade?
That’s what I thought of when I saw these beautiful cards from today’s party guest, Miss Lindsay Bateman.
Granted, these could also be used for scrapbooking, but oh my goodness gracious, aren’t they beautiful? I would love to get something like that in the mail. And they really don’t take a lot of time either. A little stamp addition to some printed cards. A pop dot. Maybe some cut elements. You could whip up some of these in no time and send them to someone you love. What a treat that would be!
And while it may look like she pulled out the ol’ bottles of ink, she actually used the Inked stamp to add her splats…exactly where she wanted them…without any mess.
Gosh, this girl rocks my world with her talents and her beautiful soul.
Here’s what she has to say about her project:
I used the stamp sets to add detailing and sentiments to tags and pattern paper cut outs. Love the [Inked] splatters for that splatter look with “no mess”. Truly gorgeous realistic designs! And the [Thin XL] text is so clean, bold and fun. Makes amazing titles and sentiments to cards, tags, etc.
Gorgeous tags and cards indeed!
So happy you could share these lovelies with us sweet friend!
