Okay, as I was writing that title I couldn’t help but think of the double meaning in those words. These past few months I’ve definitely been trying to keep everything all straight. ;) But the real meaning behind those words relate to what I’m sharing from our birthday guest.

We’ll get to that in a second.

I first wanted to remind you all that the specialty made-to-order 3.6″ Juniper Alpha JUMBO stamp set ends Sunday and it is most likely this will be the last time it’s ever offered due to its uniqueness and size. If you are even thinking about getting it, this will probably be your last chance.

 

 

I had some fun embossing it with shiny pretty gold on a 4×6 card for December Daily. Sooooo cool! The ideas I have in my head for using this…

For now, let’s talk about the need of having things perfectly aligned. ;)  I am the type of girl that likes keeping things straight. I have a very hard time letting anything on my page be askew. So when grid layouts started to become popular, that just made my gotta-be-straight day.

And our lovely friend, Miss Jamie Pate has a beautiful page that’s all gridded up.

 

 

 

Oh my goodness, I can hardly stand it. All the photos and accents in neat little rows and rectangles. Can you say giddy? Yes, that would be me. This is a peaceful, visual delight for sure!

I love bold statement stamps. And I love documenting life on a weekly basis. With that in mind, I thought the Block of Headlines to be a great stamp for telling the story of the week. These stamps make great call outs to bring attention to a photo or a journal spot.

I also cut the camera from the Digital Stamps: Iconic. Layer that cut up with a few layers of cardstock, and you have a sort of chipboard embellishment. Perfect for telling our stories.
