‘Tis October and this title seems awfully fitting for this very first day of the month and the release of all the brand new KBS stamps. Like….eight new sets!

But before we get into all the flowery and festive new stamps, I wanted to give a little stamp update. Yes, I know my store is looking awfully sad. It’s not for a lack of ordering over the past couple months or more. It’s because of manufacturing delays since he’s had difficulties getting product out of CA. Restocks will be coming hopefully next week. Or so I’m told. Keeping my fingers crossed. Please cross your fingers as well because boy, I need all the good luck I can get there. We’ve all been waiting way too long for these…and my list is quite large! I hate seeing my store so empty. :(

Also, please allow a little extra time for shipping. There is a lot shipping happening, including  the preorders of special made-to-order Juniper Alphabet JUMBO, which are going out right now, even as we speak. And I’m sorry, we are still waiting for Outnumbered ONE preorders. Oy.

And because I know I’ll get asked, no, we cannot combine shipping, unless you are international. Last month we had to put a stop to combined shipping requests because of various reasons I already addressed last month. I hate not being accommodating, but we have to do what we have to do. :)

Now, let’s take a look at all the fabulous new fun for this month, shall we?

 

First we have Big Blooms and Coming Up Roses. I am soooo excited about these, especially the two-rose Big Blooms stamp. It’s about 5″ big and would is so awesome on a travelers notebook spread or a 3×4 or 4×6 card! The digital version includes images in both flower stamp sets and also has a printable set of nine tags in black or white. I print these along with To/From tags in the Tagged digitals and keep them on hand. Love it!

Block of Joy is another wonderful addition to the Block series. Yes, more in the Block line are coming. My plan was to have them here when these were released, but….it was all out of my control.

Welcome is a gorgeous set to use for more than just Thanksgiving. The leaf…it’s my favorite. ;)

I really wanted a hand-drawn and vintage feel for a stamp set, which is how Home For Christmas came about. It’s been fun drawing elements on my iPad. I guess I’m an artist now. haha

Here’s something you may not know…okay…well…you wouldn’t know because you don’t see what I’m doing. ;) But Year Round came to be because of a kit I’d started last Christmas, Round About Christmastime, which never got finished. I thought it would make an awesome concept for time, so I used the ideas to make Year Round. And now that Christmas has come ’round again, I needed some Christmas words and phrases stamps to add to the concept…Round About Christmas Time stamps. So fun.

The Holidays has a little ‘gift giving’ and tag undertone.  Very clean and sweet.

It’s funny how these stamp sets morph into their own little category. I’d had a couple ideas, made them, and as it all started to come together, it started looking like a newspaper. That’s how Merry News came to be. You don’t really plan it…it just morphs into its own being.

If you’ll notice, The Holidays and Merry News both have another house that you can use with all the houses in Basically Christmas. I liked the idea of adding to your village. I don’t know if I’ll carry that tradition on like you may do with physical villages, but it seemed like a fun idea this year. :)

The stamps are on sale for 10% off today and tomorrow. They will not go to preorder if they sell out in the first two days. The preorders is also something we had to give up to maintain control–and sanity–after the year we’ve had so far. We will order more if they happen to sell out. It’ll be about a month before they would be restocked, so keep that in mind.

Isn’t this just dreamy? So many little details going on here with the stamps. Even the itty bitty stars on the Tis The Season To Be Jolly tag. You actually see them in a few places here. Ack! So cute. And the little circle words on the reinforcements? I swoon!

Hi Friends! I’m excited to share this simple layout I put together in my 2019 December/Christmas Album. I’m documenting my kids ice skating downtown Los Angeles. These small town kids thought they were big stuff out on the rink surrounded by all the hustle and bustle of big city life right before the holidays.

I loved the city scene in these photos and I really wanted this layout to be simple to not distract from the photos. To keep things simple, I put this layout together with a few stamp sets, scraps of paper and and one premade tag I used as a layering piece behind some ephemera (another tag) that I wanted to use up.

On the left side of the layout, I made a tag using scraps of paper. I used a sentiment from the Merry News to stamp at the top of the tag and then used the Round About Christmastime to finish up the tag. I especially loved not only using this tag for my journaling but also for day marker.

On the right side, I stamped one sentiment from the Home For Christmas stamp set on the bottom of the large photo. Then on the top right, I stamped some sentiments onto scrap paper and made banner tags to add extra embellishments that I stitched on with gold thread.
