What is the beauty of a digital stamp, you ask? Well, my friends, that would be not only the flexibility of color, size and arrangement, but also making shiny things with a Minc.

And Miss Sheree has made the most gorgeous things with the new Christmas digital stamps and her Minc!

 

 

 

 

 

 

She had me at gold. I love shiny gold things. You can print a simple image and it looks all pizzazed simply because it’s shiny and happy. I’m particularly fond of the ‘Tis The Season’ half circle on a transparency. Take a look at it in the pocket itself. It gives it a dimensional look. It’s all just simply beautiful.

Digital stamps make it so easy to create custom elements to suit whatever project you’re working on!  This two page spread in my December album features the super fun Merry News, Round About Christmastime and Home for Christmas digital stamp sets. 

For the large photo there was a strip down the left side that wasn’t very interesting so I wanted to cover it.  I chose the “looks like Christmas” stamp from the Home for Christmas stamp set and enlarged it in Photoshop to fit down the side of the page.  I printed it onto white cardstock using my laser printer then added gold foil using my Minc machine.  I cut it to size and adhered it down the side of the photo along with some glitter tape and machine stitching to add a little texture.

For the second page of this spread I wanted to add a little something to the journaling card.  Since the journaling was already printed, I decided to create an acetate overlay to add a touch of gold to the card.  I chose the “tis the season” stamp from Round About Christmastime and positioned it at the bottom of a 3 x 4 inch card in Photoshop before printing it onto acetate using my laser printer.  I  then cut it to size and ran it through my Minc machine with gold foil on heat setting 2.  All I had to do then was slip it into the pocket over the top of the journaling card…so easy!  I added a little gold confetti star to finish it off.

For the last pocket on my spread I chose the “holly jolly every day” stamp from the Merry News set and sized it to fit onto a 3 x 4 inch card in Photoshop before printing onto white cardstock with my laser printer and running it through the Minc.  For something a little different I turned the card into a rectangular tag by adding a gold glitter reinforcer piece to the top of the card with some twine.
