I never met a shiny scrapbook product I didn’t like…especially when it comes to using a Minc on digital art like Sheree has for us today.

I am absolutely in love with the combination of using a color printer and a laser printer to foil with. Simply fantastic! Brilliant idea!

Here’s Sheree to tell us how it came together:

Today I’m sharing some pocket page cards that I created using the digital versions of the new Home For Christmas, The Holidays, Round About Christmastime and Block of Joy stamp sets. 

 

 

I wanted to create some cards with Christmas colours but also wanted to add some gold foil using my Minc machine.  For this idea to work I had to use two different printers…an inkjet and a laser printer.

 

 

I created some designs in Photoshop, changed some of the elements to the colours I wanted and left the elements that I wanted to foil in black.  I then hid those black layers in Photoshop before printing all the coloured elements of the cards with my inkjet printer.

 

 

Next I put that printed paper into my laser printer. I went back into Photoshop, hid all the items I had just printed, then made all the elements that I wanted in gold foil visible again before printing it on my laser printer.  The printing lined up perfectly…yay!  All I had to do then was run the whole thing through my Minc machine with gold foil and, just like magic, I had some foiled journaling cards to use in my December album!  This was the first time I had tried this technique and I was super happy with the end result! 

 

 

I’m currently working on finishing off my 2019 December album so I’ve used  the “Ho Ho Ho” and the 6 x 4 inch “Joy” cards I made for my Day 13 project.  I also created a little flip-up on this page so I’ve used another foiled element from the Round About Christmastime digital stamp set inside.

 

 

These cards were so much fun to make!  The digital stamp sets are just so versatile and I love that you can customize the size and colours to suit your project.  I’m already thinking about what to create next!
