If there’s one thing that brings me joy in this documenting world, it’s words. Make them Christmas words and it’s all the more better!

And you are gonna flip your ever-lovin’ lid when you see what Sheree has done with today’s 12 Days freebie, Christmas Joy.

Oh my freakin’ heck…look at that stitching! Mind. Blown. I tell ya, this KBS Creative Team thinks of things to do with the designs that I would never think of and they are fabulous!

Here’s what Sheree says:

I absolutely love all the festive words in Christmas Joy!  I decided to create a page for my December album to showcase as many of the words as possible so I picked some of my favourites and arranged them together in Photoshop.  I used a font from my computer to add the + and = signs in between the words.

Next I decided on which colours to use.  Since I had so many words I decided on a pretty variety of colours to use down the page…a little non-traditional but so fun!

I kept the + and = signs in black, then made them invisible on my screen before printing the coloured words using my ink jet printer.  I then took that printed piece and put it into my laser printer paper tray.

Next I brought back all the black + and = signs on my screen and turned all the coloured words invisible instead.  I then printed using my laser printer.

I ran the printed page through my Minc with gold foil to turn all the black + and = signs to shiny gold.  I love the touch of shimmer this added to the page!

To add some lovely texture I decided to stitch around each word with a coordinating embroidery thread.  I made stitching holes using my paper piercer, then relaxed on the couch in front of the tv while hand stitching around each of the words.  This took a little while to do but it was so worth it!

So that I could add the page to my album, I trimmed it down to size, punched holes down the side and added a white machine stitched around the edge.  I love how it turned out!
