Envelopes are all well and good, but decorate an envelope and it’s like a little Christmas party in your hands.

I love envelopes!  There are so many fun ways to use envelopes. AND, who doesn’t love to receive cute happy mail?!  It’s so much fun for me to gussy up envelopes when sending cards or when giving gift cards/cash as gifts.  I feel that adding a little decoration to the envelope adds a bit more personalization and love to the gift card/cash. I also love adding envelopes into my documenting projects to tuck in extra photos, ephemera pieces or journaling.

For my project today, I cut Kerri’s envelopes in a few different sizes and dressed them up. I used both solid and patterned cardstock to cut the envelopes using my Silhouette machine. This file contains both a square and an A2 sized envelope. I cut one A2 size and one just a bit smaller on white cardstock.

I dressed those up by stamping them with tiny stars and adding a few embellishments and stamps (The one with the Santa tag, I plan to use in my December album to store my kid’s letters to Santa in). I cut four square envelopes, 3 out of patterned paper and one out of craft cardstock. I added tags and embellishments to those as well.  I wrapped some twine around a few of the square envelopes just as an added detail, but the envelopes stay nicely shut with their tab closure on the back.
