My daughter and I were having a conversation about technology the other day–the things that have happened particularly over my lifetime. I remember how futuristic the thought of a video phone was when I was in junior high. The expense of a personal calculator or even a walkman! Having to do research with books as our only resource.

And now, we have our own always-updated encyclopedia, camera, ‘video phone’, calculator, music player, movie maker, and so much more just in the palm of our hands. Kids today don’t even know what a privilege it is to have all that. :)

And don’t even get me started on party lines. Having to share your phone line with a stranger?

But how exciting is it for them to get their very first all-in-one phone/camera/calculator/encyclopedia/music player/etc.? Today Ashley is sharing this super creative layout about her daughter getting her very first phone. The design just so fun and lively, perfect for this moment.

 

 

When I’m working on a project, I love that I can mix several stamp sets and still get a cohesive look.  You really can’t go wrong when it comes to mixing and matching your stamps.

I used three of the new February stamp sets and one of the earlier releases on this 6×8 layout, documenting our daughter’s 1st iPhone.

On the left hand side of the layout I created a large title with the Headline Upper, Better Together and So Much Love sets.  Then, I used the Fill in the Blank set on the right hand side to create journaling spots.  I used the Digital format of the word “love” from the So Much Love set with my Silhouette Cameo to create foiled letters with the Foil Quill.
