I love it. I love the brightness it brings to a home or a project. It creates a mood. That being said, I have a hard time using it a lot of it, particularly on pages. I’m such a ‘white’ girl. Kind of more of a ‘magazine’ aesthetic. But I love seeing it everywhere…like this bit of fabulousness from Melissa. swoon. Love her use of the two Headline Lower alpha sizes!

 

 

 

Happy March, friends! Spring is upon us in my neck of the woods. Color is starting to return throughout my city and I’m starting to feel all those colors. 

These pictures are from an impromptu “photo shoot” of my kids with some of their cousins. Since this photo shoot was impromptu, the colors in the photos are all over the place. I decided to turn the photos black and white and add color with a bold title. 

On the left side of my spread, I used the newly released Headline Lower XL alpha stamp set. I stamped “cousins” on a separate piece of paper and cut each letter out individually and adhered them to the page. This gives my, otherwise flat, layout a bit of texture. I stamped “THE” on to the page next to cousins. This title comes from my youngest nephew calling this silly group “the cousins”. 

For the right side, I added two short strips of photos. I repeated the stamping on a separate sheet of paper, trimming them out and adhering the letters to the top of the photos. For that I used the Headline Lower SM alpha stamp set. I finished this layout by adding a few sentiments from the Block of Togetherness stamp set.
