If you didn’t see my post on social media over the weekend, my son and his wife welcomed little baby Mac on April 2.

 

 

What a sweet little bundle of squishiness! He’s so tiny too. Finally got to meet him on Sunday and spent the night to help them get some sleep. It’s tough being a new Nana. ;)

So as you can see, this month’s stamp set was inspired by this little guy coming. But the beauty of the stamp set is that it’s not limited to the tiniest of humans. Look at this awesome page by Miss Maggie showing how it can be used for so much more! Love the words and the colors…and how it mixes with Willow Lower? fabulous. (Note: hoping to get a restock of the Willow line later next week.)

 

 

 

I found an older photo of my younger son playing soccer, and I thought it was the perfect photo to use along with Kerri’s new Tiny Human stamp set! Although I don’t have any tiny babies in my life right now, I love that I can still use this amazing set to document my older kids, too.

This page came together quickly and easily, and I love that I was still able to use some of the designs in the set just by inking up part of the stamp. For example, my “I LOVE YOU” is simply the bottom portion of the “YOU’LL NEVER KNOW DEAR…” design, and my little stamped stars are the top portion of “love you more than all the stars” design. The easiest way I’ve found to do this, with minimal mistakes, is to use washi tape to cover the part of the design I don’t want to show on my project. I ink up my stamp with the washi tape, then I pull off the tape and press my stamp to my page…easy peasy. And it really opens up so many new ways to your stamps!

It’s been ages since I created a traditional scrapbook layout…and it was so fun to get back to my “roots!”
