Spring has sprung and color is everywhere, in the flowers, the trees, the blue skies…it’s lovely! And you know what else is just gorgeous? This spread from Nathalie DeSousa. If you want to make your page stand out, stamp your title, trim the letters and adhere them to your page with a bit of foam adhesive.

Thank you so much for being a part of our month-long Type Hype extravaganza Miss Nathalie!

Finally, Spring is blooming all around our neighbourhood! The fresh and refreshing look of the flowers needs to shine in nature and in my Life Crafted Album.  So, how about a soft background and a subtle title to make the blooms shine.

I am using The Nature of Spring stamp set to create a soft background for my title page.   Soft tones of pink and coral for the flowers, and mint for the sprigs cascading down the page.  Those little coordinating enamel dots just make them pop.

I heat embossed the word, “Spring”,  using the Headline Upper Alpha XL stamp set, and then fussy cut each letter.  A bit of foam adhesive, behind the letters, creates that soft shadow on the page. The last touch, the word, “flowers” (The Nature of Spring) crisply stamped next to the fussy cut letters.

I repeated the flower and spring images from the title page, but this time I filled my journal card with them.   Then opted to glue my journaling to the card.   Then a simple subtitle for the picture;  I repeated the embossed look of the title on the script font sentiment of The Nature of Spring for this.

Just love how the soft tones of the background and embossed title complement the colors of the picture!
