I admit, I have a hard time being colorful in my documenting–like having a lot of them, but that doesn’t mean I don’t love it when others use those beautiful rainbows. And oh my goodness, does Melissa have the most gorgeous spread with a rainbow of color. Eek! I love the tone on tone stamping on those colors!

 

 

Happy June crafty friends! Summer is almost upon us here in the Northern Hemisphere. But here in sunny California it already feels like full blown summer.

My colorful project today is inspired by my daughter’s rainbow colored pool floatie.

On the left side I took this rainbow paper and stamped tone on tone with the most perfect summer sentiments from the Fan of Summer stamp set.

For the right side, I printed my picture and cut it making sure to leave a white border so my picture could resemble a polaroid. That white space gave me room to add another stamp to the bottom of the picture. I stamped out the ‘Spending Time Here’ and ‘This Day Though’ sentiments on a separate sheet of paper and trimmed them to use as embellishments to add just a bit of dimension to my project. I also stamped out that adorable popsicle on a separate sheet of paper and added to my photo…so perfect as my kids were munching on ice cream. I added some journaling strips and last but not least, to bring in a bit more of the rainbow colors from the left, I took a star stamp from Kerri’s new Tasty stamp set and added a few of those in all the fun colors.
