Today is bittersweet.

‘Bitter’ news first. We are saying goodbye to Laura Vegas, who has been with KBS since almost the beginning–like, around ten years! She’s shared so much with us over these years and we will miss her beautiful work. We wish her the absolute best!

Now for the ‘sweet’ news….welcome to the KBS team Jessica Upton!

Oh my goodness, I’m just giddy to have Jessica here! She’s shared her talents with us here before and I’m so happy she’s going to be a regular contributor. And in case you didn’t know, Jessica has her own company, Color Cast Designs, where she makes the cooooolest accents for documenting!

Here’s Jessica to tell us a little bit about herself:

 

 

I live in rural Colorado outside of Colorado Springs with my husband and son, Kiefer. I have two daughters, McKenna and Riley,  who are both in college. I have spent the past year getting used to living with just my guys with my girls off on their own new adventures. In addition to scrapbooking, I love: photography, off roading and camping with my guys, reading, spending time with my pets and I am trying my darndest to get into hiking. I have my own shop, Color Cast Designs, that I have turned into a full time job that I absolutely love. I am so excited to be part of Kerri’s team and can’t wait to get inky with her gorgeous stamps!

 

And now, Jessica’s first official KBS contribution. Isn’t it just gorgeous? The subtle background she made with ‘Lake Life’ is just perfection. All sorts of dreamy. So glad to have you here Jessica!

 

 

I used both of the new sets, Outdoor Mood and Fan of Summer to make this spread about my oldest cliff jumping several years back. Oh my, that sure was scary for this mama. The stamps had the perfect sentiments to go with my outdoor summer theme.

I stamped the “Lake Life” all over the bottom of the right hand page to make a patterned. I loved using the soft pink ink for that as it wasn’t overpowering. “Wander Without Reason” was perfect as my title, along with “feeling small in the best possible way” as the subtitle.
