I think every summer has different times of days that are special. For me it’s morning, especially when the days are still cooler and I can open the windows and enjoy the increasingly glowing sun shining in the front room.

But perhaps afternoons are your favorite–playing at the pool, going to the library or having a picnic in the park. Evenings can be all about eating good summer food or watching for fireflies. And maybe you have a night time tradition of watching a movie outside on the lawn.

When I saw the new Time of Day words I knew they’d be perfect for documenting our Easter from last year.  It was a day spent at home due to lockdowns and we couldn’t visit family as we normally would, but we did end up taking lots of photos that day.  I wanted to include as many photos as possible without having to do a multi-page layout.

I decided to create a page with three pockets, which allowed me to split the day into three sections…Morning, Afternoon and Evening.  I used the words for the title of each journaling card in Photoshop, added some text then cut each one out and added stitched borders.  The journaling cards were then tucked into each pocket along with the photos for each time of day.  I love that this makes the page interactive and I was able to include lots of different photos in each section.

I added the date inside the frame on the front of the bottom pocket using a mix of Headline Upper SM, Year Round and Fill In The Blank stamp sets, then finished off the page with some embellishments and more stitching.
