Continuing with our Food theme of last week, we bring you Melt for all things sweet and cold during the summer season.

I created a page with a photo from last year, not for my Summer Notice album, because I think we had one of the best pandemic diversions ever. I had no idea that ice cream makers came like this until someone that I follow (Female Foodie) showed her making some homemade ice cream. I thought to myself, ‘I want that.’ (said in my quote from Napoleon Dynamite voice)

 

Supplies: Tasty (phrase) and Today’s The Day.

 

So I quickly bought me a  Cuisinart ice cream maker online, got it, and made the best recipe ever….frozen hot chocolate!!! Oh my gosh, it’s so good and so easy!

FROZEN HOT CHOCOLATE

Ingredients

  • 5 Swiss Miss Dark Chocolate Hot Cocoa packets
  • 3 c. whole milk
  • 1 c. half and half
  • Any other delightful toppings, like whip cream.

Instructions

  • Whisk milk, half and half and cocoa in a large bowl.
  • Pour into ice cream maker and run it for approximately 20 minutes.

I think the five packs of measures about a 1/2 cup (?) of cocoa, so we’ll use Stephen’s Hot Chocolate too (a local Utah fave).

If you’ve never tried this, you need to! We made it so many times. It’s so yummy.
