All sorts of loveliness happening right here folks. Sheree has made such an amazing page with a plethora of  stamps. Love how stamps are never-ending, that you can make something unique every time. And just digging that ‘Taking Flight’ title using Academy. And the extra cards she made? All so fantastic!

 

 

 

 

 

The new Academy alphabet stamps are such a great font and they were just what I needed to create the title for this page about my husband’s first gyrocopter test flight!  I stamped each letter onto white cardstock before cutting them out ready to use on the page.  I like to use fussy-cut stamped alphas on my projects as it helps to add layers and texture.

I sized my layout to 6 x 8 inches so that I could include it in my pocket page album.  I added a machine stitched border around the edge of the white cardstock, then printed the photo to fit the bottom section of the page.  I stamped the “best view ever here” stamp from the Outdoor Mood stamp set for the top of the photo, then I used a stamp from the Borderlines (n/a) stamp set to create the diagonal striped piece across the top edge.  The border stamp itself wasn’t quite long enough to go across the width of the page but I was able to line up the stamp to extend it to the required length.

I stamped the sun image from the Fan of Summer stamp set onto white cardstock, used a circle punch to cut it out and positioned it at the top of the page with foam adhesive.  I also added the phrase “this is happening” from the same stamp set underneath.

My printed journaling was added next and then I used the Timetable stamps to add the date.

Finally, I adhered my title into place, then added machine stitching to finish it off.

I also played around with the Academy, Outdoor Mood, Waves and Love Is Everywhere stamp sets to create a couple of pocket page filler cards that could easily be used alongside my layout.  I love how each of these sets work so well together!
