Just when you thought Christmas Jumble couldn’t get any better our Miss Ashley knocks our Christmas stockings off with this amazing idea! What a spectacular page!

 

 

Sometimes it’s fun to think outside of the box, when you’re using your supplies. I wanted to do something with the Christmas Jumble stamp, other than stamping. Since it isn’t available as one of the digital designs (psst, it actually is here, but this is a great technique to share!), I decided to make my own digital out of it. I removed the stamp from the sleeve and then scanned the word from the sleeve on my scanner. I cleaned up around the letters in Photoshop to get a good PNG image and then I opened it in Silhouette Studio.

In Silhouette Studio, I traced the word and then chose Sketch for the design. I placed the pencil in my Cameo, so it could draw off the word, and then I was able to use a paper piercer to punch holes along the sketched lines. Once all of the letters had been pierced, I chose four different colors of embroidery thread to stitch around each letter. When I was done stitching, I placed the word in the center of my layout and then I adhered photos and patterned papers cut at 1.4×1.4 inches around it.
