Now, who had the tastiest Thanksgiving? Raise your hand if homemade stuffing is your favorite, like our household. :) What is your favorite part of the day? All I know is that we all went into a food coma after we were done.

We began new a new tradition with our first official Thanksgiving at our house as the grandparents. Kind of strange. I mean, we’ve had it at our house individually maybe a couple times over the many years, but generally we would either spend it with my family–mainly with my mom who passed away 17 years ago–or my hub’s family (both parents passed away a year ago).

This year? We’re the ‘family’. Kind of feels different, but that’s how life goes. :)

So did you take lots of pictures? Bake a new pie? Had a quiet day or was it madness all around? Have any mishaps? Now is the time to get it in the books and our Miss Ashley has a marvelous spread all about the big Turkey day! Loving all the bits of text!

 

 

 

Last year for Thanksgiving, our doggie decided he wanted to get in line for lunch too! I thought it was such a cute photo and decided to document it with Kerri’s Thanksgiving stamp set. I love all of the different phrases on this set and I used three of them.

I wanted to keep a Fall/Thanksgiving color scheme, so I used Gathered Twig and Ripe Persimmon Distress Oxide inks to stamp the words. Then, I just cut them out with my trimmer and layered them in with all of my embellishments.
