Today is a picturesque kind of day because we have some brand new Lightroom presets here at KBS!

I can not tell you just how excited I am for these! I don’t know about you, but I’m a simple+clean photo editor. I like enhancing my photos. Making them super artistic is also fun, but generally, you’ll find my photos just have a little nudge of adjustments to make them go from a good photo to an even better photo. Not that the different colored, highly saturated, matte, or any other heavily edited photo isn’t fun from time to time. But for the everyday, that’s my fave.

And that’s what I bring to you today, the brand new KBS Everyday Lightroom Presets.

These presets work with the free version of the Lightroom Mobile app. You can also use them on a desktop, but I do 99% of my photo editing on my phone and I wanted to make these usable for anyone using the free mobile app.

There are 30 presets in this Everyday mix. There are a few that may be called the same thing, but they just have variations on it, like KB Candid Light 1 and KB Candid Light 2.

Changing a photo with the touch of a button is magical. However, different presets produce different results depending on the lighting, color and tones in your photo. But I did test these presets on many photos to get them just right for a variety of styles. You can also use them as a starting point and then add Exposure or bring down the Highlights or Saturation, for example.

One thing to note on the following photos, I feel like I see more of a difference and a richer look in the edited photos in Lightroom than what I’m seeing here after saving them for a web page. But maybe it’s just me. haha

 

 

You may think some of the names are funny, like Gravy??? But if I edit a particular photo and I like the final edit, I have a tendency to call the preset something that references the photo. So for the one called Gravy, I had used the edit on a restaurant in Portland called….wait for it…Gravy. I used it as a working name and then just grew to love it as the name and so it stuck. (haha)

 

 

 

There are four versions of ‘KB Baby’ that don’t necessarily have to be used for babies. I take a lot pictures of my grandson (haha) and loved having some versions that give children, in particular, a really soft and/or creamy look.

 

 

 

 

As you can see from this KB Bright White example, I love using this to brighten my product shots. I don’t have the best lighting (too lazy to get out the lights) and this can get it where it needs to be. Yay! Sometimes if i have a color that’s become ‘too much’ in the photo, I’ll go into Color/Color and change the Saturation or Luminance to tone it down.

 

 

 

My goodness. I can’t tell you how much fun it is to use these! As you begin using them, you’ll find ones that become your go-to’s, I’m sure. :)
