I can’t believe how fast this week went by! (inter) National Scrapbook Day is tomorrow. What??? I hope you got some goodies and picked up all the freebies. If you missed any, they will all go into one kit in the store tomorrow. f

So today, we have our very last freebie just in time for the…Weekend. And Miss Sheree is here to show off a gorgeous example on how to use it. Wow!  Love how she used the Highlights stamps with it too. I swoon! And don’t even get me started on the stitching details! And the layered title? perfection.

I decided to print the Weekend file directly onto my cardstock background for this traveler’s notebook project.  I opened it up in Photoshop, positioned it in the top half of the page, then used the eyedropper tool to pick up one of the colours from my photo and changed the word to that colour.

While I was there, I also chose the border stamp from the Highlights Digital Stamp Set, positioned it towards the bottom of the page and changed it to the same colour as the title.

Once my page and photo were printed, I grabbed some cardstock and stamped a variety of stamps from the Highlights and Iconic stamp sets before cutting them out.

I positioned the large details stamp under the title, used a date stamp to stamp the date and adhered my printed journaling into the “Details” section.  I cut out the car stamp from the Iconic stamp set and the “Reality” stamp from Highlights to adhere into the other two spaces.  I ticked a couple of boxes and added some machine stitching.

I also wanted to add “Road Trips” to my title as well so to do this I used the Neapolitan stamp set and Staz-On ink to stamp the words onto vellum.  I positioned it across the middle of the “Weekend” title and added a row of stitching.

At the bottom of this page is a row of stamped scallops from the fun Along Those Lines stamp set.

On the photo side of the spread, I stamped the little speech bubble box stamp onto cardstock and added the “Needed” word inside before cutting it out and adhering it above the coffee cup.  Both of these stamps are from Highlights.  I finished off with another row of stitching.
