One of the fun things about seeing holiday creations from our Aussie friends is that they tend to do bright+ cheerful tones because, you know, it’s summer down there. That’s not to say that the color scheme can’t apply for wintry scenes, but you just get this feeling of a sunny Christmas when you see those colors and I love it! They also seem to remind me of a vintage Christmas too, old ornaments. Reminds me of my grandparents’ tree as a child.
So anyway, these cards that Sheree has made are just all sorts of merry+bright! All those twinkles? Be still my heart! And the coordinating falala with the trees? eek!
I love making Christmas cards during the festive season and the new Seasonably Bold stamps make it so easy to make them fun and colourful!
I chose some of my favourite ink colours along with some gold glitter embossing powder and got to work.
For the “falala” card, I stamped in red and fussy cut the image out. I also used the tree stamps from Christmas Is Here to stamp trees in three colours, fussy cut them out then used the star stamps from Christmas Is Here and Joy to make the glittery gold embossed stars for the tops of the trees. I then simply arranged them on the card front, adhering the middle tree and “falala” with foam adhesive and added a stamped phrase from Seasonably Bold to finish it off.
For the “twinkle” card I stamped the word in four different ink colours and gold glitter embossed another before fussy cutting them out and adhering them to the card front with foam adhesive to add some lovely dimension. I also fussy cut three glittery gold embossed stars to scatter around the card front too.
I love how these cards turned out! Since these cards are stamped, you can play with all sorts of different colour combinations and make as many as you like to send to friends and family!
