Before we get into today’s fabulousness, I just wanted to say thank you for the support of this month’s release. We sold out of Iris in about three hours! The beauty of the Block series is that all the words are exactly the same width. And, two letters+numbers from Printers Block Letters and Printers Block Numbers can be placed together to create a block of the same width. It creates a beautiful graphically designed element that seems like you created it yourself. And you did…if you’ve used them. ;) Just like Nancy has done here with Block of Winter. Oh my goodness! The colors and mixing it with the snowflake and gloves is just amazing!

 

 

A good bold title is all you need for a quick + simple traveler’s notebook page. The Block of Winter stamp set really delivers on the bold impact and perfect rows of text. Just add a punch of color with ink to contrast all that powdery white.

I started with the “snow day” sentiment and then varied the sizes of the next two sentiments. Going from the tiny “gloves, hat, boots” to the large “winter mood” is what makes this bold title interesting and readable. In the center I added the graphic snowflake from the Joy stamp set to break up some of the text and add a punch of teal. The enamel dot serves as a “hook” for the mittens and adds texture to the center of the design.

There are so many stackable variations that are possible with the Block of Winter stamp set! This is one I will keep reaching for all season long.
