Okay, maybe it would be more like a snow leopard. When Punxsutawney Phil said there would be six more weeks of winter, he wasn’t kidding around.

Well, the only thing keeping me warm right now is the happy thought of using new stamps. And that’s what we have to day with For Today, Southwest, Candid, Otis and Otis XL.

 

 

Let’s talk a little about the Southwest stamps first. A few weeks back a spell, we were going to take a trip across the American Southwest after a wedding in southern California. Plans to hit amazing place like Saguaro NP, White Sands, Carlsbad Caverns…just to name a few of the biggies.

 

 

Therefore, a stamp set was in order to accommodate my trip. Alas, the trip ended up not being in the cards since hubs had a last-minute job in Illinois. Ugh. We thought we might go when he got home, but snow…then more snow…a sunny blue day or two…more snow… You get the idea. snow. snow. snow. We’d even thought about going down to Kanab/Page…but Mother Nature is not cooperating. Doesn’t she know we want to go somewhere??? Oy. ;)

Until then, I know there are many pages I can use this set on. It’s a unique set in that it comes with both 4×6 and a 3×4. I could have made a simple 6×8 set, but since this was designed with traveling in mind, I wanted to keep it compact, ya know? When I take stamps for travel, I like to stick to 4×6 or 3×4 stamps.

Also, I know that southern Utah and southern Colorado can be roped into the overall American Southwest region, but I decided to keep it simple with the four main states.

Okay, let’s carry on and take a closeup look at Candid. Again, influenced by my life. haha

 

 

Just had to make a stamp of my Fujifilm X100V…and in two sizes, no less. It’s such a gorgeous camera all around. It has both form and function in spades.

Next up is For Today, which is a plethora of phrases revolving around your life ‘today’. So many great sentiments in this bunch…for both the good times and the bad times.

 

 

I love a stamps set with themed phrases like this. I feel like you get a lot of bang for your buck. And they are also fun to intermingle not just with other stamp sets in general, but stamps sets like this, like All Together Now or Scene of the Day. These are what I’d call great companion pieces. It’s a staple to have on your desk at all times…ready to be used.

Last, but not least is Otis and Otis XL.

 

 

Oh boy, talk about a staple! I think this chunky little alphabet–4×6 especially–is going to be the perfect addition to my EDD (aka, Everyday Documenting). Like seriously. So loving this alphabet! And also, it’s named for our ‘puppy’–a lab/rott mix who is 13 years old and probably won’t be here much longer. He has so much character and is playful and chunky, just like this alphabet.
