Goodness. Having our little furry family members is just the best. But the huuuuuge downside is, at some time you have to let them go. For us, that’s just what we had to do with Otis, our 13-year old lab/rott mix, on Thursday evening. (HERE is a story about how he came to be in our family.)

While I knew time was short for Otis, I didn’t realize a few months back that when I named this month’s stamp set after him (chunky, playful, full of character…just like Otis), that he would be passing within a day of its release. Losing these lovable creatures is awfully hard, I tell you what. I’m sure there are many of you out there that know just how it is.

I didn’t necessarily mean for this to be a sad post. It’s just when I saw this wonderful page from Jessica about them going to the Cat Cafe, it just made me think how much joy these creatures can bring into our lives…even if it is just for the day. But when you get 13 years? Joy overload.

 

 

Hi crafty friends! I used the new Otis alphabet stamp set today to create this Cat Cafe layout about a fun cat adventure I went on with my son and one of my girls!

I also stamped down the left side of the layout with the For Today set stamping Time For Some Memories down the edge. I love the look of stamping down the edge without cleaning my stamp and doing second and third generation stamping. So fun!
