I am so ready for it. Of course, as we prepare for a winter storm warning where the mountains, in particular, are projected to get another few feet, the only color I’m seeing is white. Ugh.

Therefore, I am just going to have to enjoy some color from this beautiful spread from Nancy using this month’s Block Of Spring stamps. I love the way she’s made that colorfully gorgeous stack of words!

But before we jump into what Nancy has to say, I wanted to mention a couple things. One, the sale on this month’s stamps ends today. And two, we are halfway gone on the quantities! I can’t wait to see what you all make with them! That’s only if you’re tagging me on social media so I’ll see them. haha

 

 

Spring is in the air! I have so many photos and memories from our local spring gardens. This one is in full bloom and I wanted to highlight the story. What better way than to create a stack of beautiful spring words using the new Block of Spring stamp set.

I started at the top with a smaller, delicate phrase “beautiful day” in black. For contrast, I stamped the next line in Distress Oxide Mowed Lawn for a nice pop of color. I kept alternative the large and small, dark and lighter ink colors and created this eclectic piece of word art. In the center there’s a tiny row of enamel dots that adds just a little bit of texture. To finish off the top and bottom, I added a small strip of gingham washi tape and a chipboard butterfly at the top.

This was such fun art therapy to create. Alternating sizes and colors is the key to making a block of text work. Little punches of texture and washi give it a bit of design interest. I paired it with a full sized photo and some journaling to tell the story. The new Block of Spring stamp set is one that I will keep reaching for this season of bloom!
