Except, not for me…I hate traveling when it’s hot and when places are crowded. Maybe if we went to Alaska… ;) Just as long as the temps are no higher than 80, then I’m good. I really need a small trailer to pull up into the mountains where I can hang out for a week. I could dig that.

Now Miss Nancy on the other hand says summer is her favorite time of year. And I have to say, she represents it well! This page using the new This Place Though stamp set is absolutely divine! Soooo many little details going on here…read about it below

I’m just gonna live a summer vicariously through her in the comfort of my AC. ;)

 

 

My favorite time of year is here – summer! Time to travel near and far, take loads of pictures and record them. The new This Place Though stamp set is perfect for all of the trip near and far. I love the three icons and the boldness of the main title. I used “This Place Though” as my main jumping off point to build the layer of tags.

I sewed the tags up at the top and kept the staggered look so that each of the patterns peeks through just enough. The tags are bold so the “This Place Though” was perfect to balance it all out. I stamped the “Got Nowhere to be But Here” in a peacock blue color to stand out just a little bit. I punched a 1″ circle of salmon cardstock and used white embossing powder to create the “Get Wet” tag. 

On the right side, I used the “Spent the Best Day Here” long journaling stamp in black on a strip of white cardstock. I then slid the text border and adhered it to the edge of the stripe patterned paper. Adding just that little bit of text dressed up the page without taking away from the photo or design.

Under the tags I placed my journaling and attached a label sticker to the end. I used the Open This stamp set at the end of the label so that the story isn’t missed! This was such a fun layout to create. I love the balance of small and large type (plus bonus icons) in the This Place Though stamp set. I’ll be using this one all summer long and beyond!
