I can’t believe this little business of mine is on its 13th year around the sun! I always think about that ‘opening day’ when this time of year rolls around…the day that started with lightning hitting right by our house at 5:30 am, knocking out cable and tvs (the cable wasn’t grounded). At the time I had no idea that would be a foreshadowing…or perhaps synonymous…of what was to come. This little business has been electrifying.

As I’m pondering all that’s happened here–both business and personal–these past 13 years, I wonder, will I still be in business 13 years from now? I will be 70 then! gasp! Well, a month away anyways. haha Still. That reeeaaaalllly blows my mind! I told my daughter and she shuddered and said, ‘I don’t like that.’ hahahaha

It’s crazy.

This whole business has just been insane and good and exhausting and fun and stressful and enlightening and rewarding and every emotion and feeling in between.

I just want to thank you all for being a part of this wild and crazy ride! I could not do this without you. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your support and all the friendships I’ve made along the way. You are all amazing. Truly.

We’ve got something for the sun lovers, Rocky Mountain lovers and book lovers.

Let’s start with Solar Powered and Sun’s Out…on account-a, they kind of go together. A few month’s back when I was contemplating the August stamps, we were going through a very dismal spring. So it’s no wonder that my mind went to all things sunny. This body needed some solar power and it just wasn’t obliging.

 

 

I was enamored at the thought of hand drawing a sun, but I couldn’t just stop with the one image style. I needed a version to make something multi-color because, oh my heck…so much fun! Lots of great sun-related phrases on both of these. I also hand drew the small sun. Kind of felt good to get creative that way. It’s been a while. ;)

Next up is The Rockies.

 

 

Have you been? If so, you know that the beauty is hard to put into words and that photos just don’t do it justice. I remember looking at my photos and thinking, ‘That is not what I saw.’ Everything was so much bigger! I needed to include words that reminded me of those feelings. And isn’t that framed mountain scene just awesome? My mom used to have this big mountain painting and this reminds me of that.

Last but not least is Book Nerd.
