Creating a minimal journal setup here…with pretend writing and pretend photo example. ;)
How everything I’m taking for this upcoming trip is white, I do not know. More on these printables will be coming. For now, I want to see how it works and if I need to make some changes. And actually, I have already made some tiny changes from what’s shown here.
But I’m feeling reaaalllly good about this. No muss, no fuss. I’m taking one alphabet and one location-themed stamp set, one black ink, one flat stamping block, one adhesive, one scissors, one pencil (and maybe pen), one blank KBS A6 journaling notebook, one journaling stencil and a couple accessories, like washi and some labels that I already had printed. Much of this is all contained in one A6 Moterm planner, including the stamps and journaling template that go in the back pocket—which is where they are peeking out from here in this photo.
The key here is minimal. I think this is where I stumble when I think I can document on a trip. But with preprinted pages, I get a nice aesthetic look without having to think more in terms of ‘scrapbooking’ it. Ya know what I mean? Photo. Writing. DONE. If I want to add a stamp, I can. If I want to put a photo on a blank page with washi and write underneath it. I can. SIMPLE, SIMPLE, SIMPLE. That’s all I can say. I just can’t process doing more. ;)
There are some other configurations to these printables. Ones where the photo is on top and then on bottom. One with a wider photo if you want. I will make note of what photo I want to include on that page and print it when I get home.
One other thought I had is I can fill whatever remaining pages I have in my album with just regular ol’ photos for extra highlights of the trip.
Besides the extra printer film/cartridge, these four things are all that’s going in the bag.
Keeping it simple and (hopefully) getting it done.

I’ve just discovered your blog kerri and I’m loving it. Can you please tell me what your cannon photo printer is? thanks
