When I designed this month’s Vines+Lines, I had the idea of using it for cards as well as documenting. So I was tickled pink (or green?) when I saw these gorgeous cards from Sheree. wow! They are just so elegant and pretty. sigh.

 

 

 

 

When I saw the new Vines+Lines stamp set I knew I wanted to play with layering all those pretty leaves to create some cards.  I chose three different shades of green inks and got started.

For the first card, I used a few of the various leaf stem designs and randomly stamped them along the top and bottom of the card front.  As I stamped, I used different angles and lengths of the stems in the different shades of green ink to get the look I wanted. 

I then used a spare piece of white cardstock to create a cluster of leaves to go behind the stamped sentiment.  I fussy cut the leaf cluster out and adhered it to the card front with foam tape and messy thread before adding the stamped sentiment on top.

For the second card I cut a tag shape from white cardstock and, using the same leaf stem stamps, I randomly stamped right around the edge of the tag.  I stamped the ‘thank you’ stamp onto a small piece of white cardstock and a small leaf stamp above it, cut it out and stitched it before adding it to the centre of the tag.  The tag was then added with another piece of white cardstock onto a plain white card.

To finish off both cards I simply added a few cute butterfly stickers from my stash.
