I know, we’re a week early from the official day but we are mixing things up and celebrating it early ’cause we’re crazy like that. (haha) Hopefully by doing it the weekend before you’ll be able to get your KBS goodies in your little pink hands for the actual big day. And I think that is a good idea if you ask me. ;)

These beauties come as a 2-piece 6×8 set: one regular, one italic, both with upper and lowercase. This is set is similar to Bread+Butter in that they shine their brightest when used together. gasp! And better yet, when you use both the standard Peony with Peony Bold, like this.

 

 

Yup. Soooo digging this!

Let’s see what Nancy has done, shall we? (insert giddiness here) Isn’t this absolutely brilliant? Not only is the title with the new stamps a bit of perfection, but look at those books! Cutest thing ever!

 

 

Alpha stamps are timeless and my favorite type of stamp to create with.  I get so much use out of them! I love that the Peony alpha is tall and delicate. It comes in bold and italic which is perfect for long and stacked titles. I can see myself reaching for this one over and over again. 

To create the main title on the left side of the page, I used the Peony Italic in lowercase for “march” stamped in olive green and the Peony regular bold alpha in black for “READS”.  I love the contrast in size and type. It adds a bold punch to the top of the traveler’s notebook layout. 

 

 

On the right side, I had some fun with the Book Nerd  stamp set. I stamped the little books in bold colors to match the patterned paper first and then cut them out. Then I stamped a series of books in gray, cut just the pages out and then placed them in the middle of the colorful books for a 3D pages effect. 

I stamped a small subtitle just underneath the books and finished off the page with a bold “book nerd” title, checklist and bookmarks sentiment. It’s so much fun to create an entire layout with just a strip of paper and whole lot of stamps!

The Peony alpha is so versatile and has so many options with the regular, bold and italic options. This one is going to look different depending on how you stack it, color it and stamp it out!
