What is it about the beach that makes you go into a hypnotic state. I could sit and watch the waves for hours. In fact, I can be found doing that on the beach in Hawaii, in particular. It’s restorative. And if you get to live close to the beach and visit often, you are one very lucky person. I don’t think I’d ever get anything done if I lived right by the beach (haha).

And today, Miss Nancy, who does live near the Jersey Shore, has got a beautiful spread using the new Salt Water Stamps. How delightful is this? And look at how many stamps she used! sigh. 

 

 

Beach photos are some of my favorite memories to document in traveler’s notebooks. So I knew exactly how I was going to use the new Salt Water Soul stamp set when I saw it. A collection of oceanside views + words! I started at the very top with a stamped school of fish, the title “saltwater soul” in teal ink, finished with the “postcards from the coast” stamp.

Next came a pocket and large geotag stamped with “the kind of view you never forget” right in the center. Some crystal sequins frame out the words and when you flip the geotag over, there’s another photo of the beach! The beautiful font used in the “saltwater” stamped image is bold and perfectly wavy for this spot. I used the “I never get tired of how beautiful it is here” stamp to create a border between the geotag pocket and the file folder below. Sometimes words make for the perfect underline.

 

 

At the very bottom of the page, a stamped file folder holds more photos. To decorate the cover, I used the sunset and waves stamp with yellow and teal ink to create a scene. Just underneath, I added the bold “more beach days” stamp followed by the thinner, beautiful “the sound of the waves” stamp. I love the contrast of these two fonts.

Inside the file folder are three more beach photos. Just under the two smaller photos, I stamped “postcards from the coast” to add some words. 

 

The left side of the page opens to reveal a full landscape photo. I used a puffy sun sticker followed by the stamped word “shoreline” just above the journaling. I used StazOn ink to stamp right on the photo.
Salt Water Soul is a stamp set that I will be using over and over again. It has a very versatile mix of fonts and icons that make it easy to use. I was able to create this spread using 11 of the stamps from Salt Water Soul. I guess you can say it’s a keeper!
