Having just prepared and then traveled to Boston, I’ve had a lot of leafiness on the brain. Oh, who am I kidding, I just love nature and so leafy things are aways on my brain. They bring me happiness…just like this most glorious of spreads from our dear Miss Nancy! Check out those tags! gasp!

One word: wow.

 

 

This month’s stamp release is a beautiful mix of botanicals, sentiments and dates. I combined all three to make photo tags to tell a story of a fall. I started each tag with the beautiful leaf outline and solid from the Leafy Things stamp set. These added repetition and a bold punch of color to each tag. I also used the stripes at the bottom of each tag to add some pattern.

 

 

On the left side of the layout, I kept it simple with a bold title. The beautiful type in “ROAM” from Wordplay: Travel Edition was perfect for drawing attention to the photo and story.

 

I created monochromatic tags with a bold leaf design in the middle. That repetition keeps the design from getting too busy. I used the Time Will Tell stamp set on each tag to add a little row of numbers, “DATE”, Autumn and Oct on each tag. The repeated leaf and stripe stamps create a “set” out of the tags.

 

 

The flip side of the tags make great homes for photos from the fall season. Little slices of my favorite Autumn things and places.

 

All the tags were gathered and tucked into a vellum pocket layered to add a punch of color to this fun fall design. Combining stamp sets is always a fun challenge for me. I love stamps and layering them to create individual designs on tags is one of my favorite ways to use them all!
