Is anyone else getting excited over the color starting to emerge from the dull winter’s gloom? My new peonies are shooting up and I’m so excited to see what they look like. (insert major clapping with joy here)

Equally exciting are the new stamps for April! Fresh for today are Your Basic Label, Springtime Vibes, On The Inside and Beacon Hill. Not only is there a spring-themed set as well as a lovely alphabet, but I’ve been in a simple label mood for journaling…as you can see. ;)

 

 

First up is Your Basic Label. I did say I was in a mood, right? ;) I love packaging with a good basic label—simplicity at its finest. It’s my favorite design style and I have collected so many ideas over the years. While I’ve created some stamps influenced by such labels, this one is more of an an ‘all-inclusive’ style to build your own labels, including an alphabet!

 

 

Also, along that label vibe, we have On The Inside. Just a few ‘lined’ places to lay out some thoughts.

 

 

And what do these stamps look like when they are all used together with the Beacon Hill alphabet?

Speaking of Beacon Hill, I didn’t fancy the lowercase alphabet, but liked the upper. So I thought I’d mix things up a little and put two sizes on one 6×8 sheet. I also used Leafy Things and Open This (‘pull’) on this spread. And while the week grid was designed to be used…say…at the bottom…or top…or in the middle of a 4×6 card or travelers notebook, I enjoyed using it as a layered accent here.

Finally, we have Springtime Vibes. A collection of sweet springy things. I think that bunny is my favorite. :)
