Today, let us go on a wonderful adventure into to the world of Nancy Damiano because….hello….this is absolutely magical. These girls never cease to amaze me. I love every little bit of this, right down to using the circle to make Mickey ears using the CA circle. What??? Take a close look at every fantastical detail, because they are a-plenty!

I took a walk down memory lane with this spread. Back to 2014 when we visited Disneyland with my favorite trio. I was inspired to document this story by the mini postcard in the new Postcard stamp set. Once I realized that the large castle from the Magical stamp set would fit perfectly, I knew it would be my centerpiece. I used light blue ink to stamp the castle and layered the “never grow up” sentiment right on top with black ink. A little “fairydust” stamp up at the corner and the “CA” + ears finish off the postcard bit. I love how this turned out!

 

 

On the upper right hand corner, I layered three different stamps from the Magical stamp set. I started with “enjoy the ride” in black, immediately followed by the roller coaster icon in teal ink. I layered three mini palm tree stamps over the icon to give it a hint of color.  The “please remain seated” stamp in black underlines the stamped block and is nice and bold.

 

 

 

 

At the bottom of the layout, I kept it simple adding “best day ever” in black followed by “one happy place” in light teal ink. I think that it plays nicely off the black and white photo and bold washi tape.

The main “magical” title was stamped in black ink on the left. Then, just underneath I stamped “grinning ear to ear” in teal ink. To “split” the stamp in order to accomodate the letter “g” in the title, I inked up just the word “grinning” first and stamped it. Then I wiped off any remaining ink off the “grinning” word and inked up “ear to ear” and stamped that just after the letter “g”. It’s that easy to split your long titles without cutting up your stamps.

The Postcard and Magical stamps sets were the perfect way to document this story of a past trip while planning a trip for this coming fall!
