Don’t you just love it when everything comes together…or rather, fits together? It gives you such a feeling of accomplishment, doesn’t it? I feel that way when I pack a bag or the back of my car and it all fits just right. I’m pretty good at it. ;)
Wanna know who’s good at it when it comes to documenting? That would be none other than our Miss Nancy. The way she puts all the pieces together is just chef’s kiss! All the details going on here is just fabulous!
This month I’ve been documenting upcoming plans for this summer. The new Keeping Record stamp set is perfect for my weekly journal. I love the variety of journaling and date spots in this set paired with beautiful little sentiments that fit perfectly. I used the new QWERTY alpha stamp to add the word “rest” to the days of the week spot. The circle shape plays off of all those straight lines so nicely.
I started this spread by printing two 3×4 photos in a polaroid style and adding a stamped sentiment from Keeping Record to the bottom right corner. I think this adds just the right amount of text and interest to the photos. Next I stamped four journaling spots for my stories and then worked the design around these spots. I like how each one has a different style. My favorites are the ledger and days of the week. I added stamped text to each of these spots with colorful ink for a little interest. This one above includes the phases of the moon which I love.
The Cats+Dogs stamp set was perfect for telling this sweet story about my pup. I layered the dog icon (in gray ink) next to the “the life of a dog” for a bold title. Just underneath I added a tiny subtitle “happiness is a wagging tail” stamped in teal ink This is my all time favorite sentiment stamp! Just under the photo I added a checklist “wonderful, fine, not a fan” from For the Record.
I added four different bold titles through the spreading using the Worth Noting stamp set from the May release. I love a punch of bold black and teal stamped text to head my journaling. They are the perfect focal point for weekly journaling. Pairing Keeping Record, Cats+Dogs, Worth Noting and QWERTY is such a fun way to document a week in the life!
