If you want to get some documenting done quickly, using the same formula for pages or blocked sections will help you accomplish that task in a jiff!

Case in point, this amazing spread from Nancy! The way she used her stamps to block out her journaling on the days’ events is perfect. It’s a wonderful idea! And I’m totally digging her blend of this month’s stamps (enter two enthusiastic thumbs up).

 

 

My weekly journal is completely blank and the perfect place to play with new stamps. The simplicity of journal + stamps is so creatively freeing! The moment I saw the Life Based  stamp set, I knew it would be perfect for creating a bold daily design that could be easily repeated.

I wanted to follow a design formula for the journaling so that creating this spread would be quick and easy. I started with the “today” stamp from Life Based, followed by another sentiment text stamp and finally “stories” in red or aqua ink.

 

 

In the center of each journal spot, I started by stamping an initial (related to the story) in pale gray ink. I think this makes a beautiful, subtle base for typewritten text.

At the bottom of each block, I stamped a grid line from the Overview stamp set in black as a base. I then stamped the numbers from Life Based in colored ink along with the month. Finally, in black ink I stamped the day of the week and time of day in pale gray ink. Both of these stamps are also from Life Based.

 

 

 

On the lower right, I stamped a spot for a series of selfies my niece and I sent each other. I wanted to highlight the photos and thought this grid stamp from Overview was perfect. I added the AM/PM, arrows and “moment” from the same stamp set to frame out the white space next to the small photo strip. I finished the page off with three sentiment stamps from the Defined stamp set in the centers and bottom right. I love how they separate the days of the week.
The July stamp release was so much fun to work with! I stamped this page out in less than an hour and I love how bold and colorful it is. Using stamps is such a great way to let your photos + stories shine!
